5B have had a fabulous return to school, feeling refreshed and ready to learn. All of the children have come back happy and have settled in well to life in Year 5. 

In English, we started reading our new text, 'There's a Boy in the Girls' Bathroom', and the children have produced some amazing pieces of writing based on it and have successfully acted out some of the scenes.

In Maths, we have started looking into Place Value and it has been great to see how much the children have remembered from last year and are able to build on this year. This week's focus has been identifying the value of digits in a number and rounding.

Next week, we are looking forward to starting our new UBBC topic - Changes.
