Homework for the next two weeks is to design and build your own Viking shield. We have given you two weeks for this task to give you plenty of time to research, plan, design and build your Viking shield. The internet has lots of great ideas for making Viking shields, so there would be the best place to start. You can build your shield out of anything you can find; we would recommend stiff card but if you don't have access to that then a paper is fine. if you're feeling really adventurous, why not try building one out of real wood! (You will need adult support if using any wood working tools however - so check with parents first!)
