The Battle of Hastings - 1066
5G recreate The Battle of Hastings
The English army, led by Harold Godwinson, set themselves up at the top of a steep hill. Harold’s army formed a shield wall by interlocking their shields (5R and 5Y). In order to win the battle, the defensive line had to be broken. This is where William deployed his secret weapon - the feigned retreated. The Saxon army fled to the forests. The Normans (5B and 5G) had won!
