Home Learning Task - Due Friday 30th September
We are exploring fairgrounds for our topic! Choose one of the following tasks for your homework:
- Research another fairground/theme park in the UK and present your findings in any form - poster/fact file/3D!
- Design your very own theme park! Consider what rides you would have, what would they be called and what other facilities would you have?
Weekly Review:
This week in English we have been reading our class text ‘Leon and the Place Between’. The children have engaged with this text by predicting, summarising and using their inference skills. We have begun to write autobiographies as the ominous and exciting magician in the text - Abdul Kazam!
In Maths we have begun our Number topic and explored negative numbers, rounding to the nearest 10, 100 and 1000 as well as adding and subtracting integers.
In UBBC year 6 have presented their findings from our fieldwork trip into a scatter graph! It has been fantastic to incorporate our Maths knowledge within our wider learning. Not only this, we have been discussing potential new business ventures that could boost Broadstairs' tourism!
A super week last week! Year 6 are looking forward to learning new things this week!
