Year 4 Weekly Update- Week 2
A fantastic week of learning
Children have had a wonderful week of learning this week!
Maths: Year 4 have moved on to fractions this week, embedding what this tricky concept means. Next week they will continue with this learning looking at mixed numbers, including comparing and ordering.
English: we have enjoyed beginning our new text 'Revolt against the Romans' and will read on next week. We have started to write a descriptive piece about the journey from Rome to Britannia. These will be finished off before we start some character descriptions. Children also looked fantastic in their costumes for World Book Day. Thank you for supporting this great day!
Afternoon Thematic Curriculum: we have started to learn about the Romans, particularly the strength of the Roman Army and the impact this had on the world.
Home Learning: The Science project set out in last week's blog continues this week.
Reminder- If children wish to play on the field at break and lunchtime, they need to bring an old pair of shoes to leave in their locker please.
