The Year 3 team would like to congratulate every single one of our new Year 3s on successfully completely their first week at Upton! It hasn't been easy, with such warm temperatures, but it's been a joy to get to know all of our new personalities and see how well they have taken to the Upton Way!

Next week, we start our first topic 'Prehistory Rocks!' in the afternoons and begin reading our text 'Stone Age Boy' in English lessons. In Maths, we continue to explore our number sense and use a range of manipulatives to show different numbers.

Home Learning:

We are in the process of setting up logins for Times Table Rockstars, MyMaths and Accelerated Reader. By the beginning of next week, all children should have a reading record and a book to share at home whilst we set up systems. 

This term, our 'Thematic Curriculum' home learning will be based around our 'Prehistory Rocks!' topic. Each term we will provide a 'menu' of activities of you to choose from to demonstrate your learning. You can complete one or more activities and your work will be due in 13th October, giving you plenty of time. If you need any help, ideas or resources, please speak with your class teacher.
