Well done Year 3, another great week at Upton! This week you have shown that you have worked really hard to listen and respond to the Upton signals - keep it up! 

Next week, we continue learning about 'Prehistory Rocks!', focusing on rocks; how the different types are formed and how fossils are formed. We explore how to write an effective setting description, linked to 'Stone Age Boy' in English lessons. In Maths, we continue to explore our number sense and begin to develop strategies for effective calculation.

Home Learning:

We are in the process of setting up logins for Times Table Rockstars and Accelerated Reader. All children should now be bringing home reading record and a book to share at home whilst we set up systems. This can be changed as and when the children finish their book. 

This term, our 'Thematic Curriculum' home learning will be based around our 'Prehistory Rocks!' topic. Each term we will provide a 'menu' of activities of you to choose from to demonstrate your learning. You can complete one or more activities and your work will be due in 13th October, giving you plenty of time. If you need any help, ideas or resources, please speak with your class teacher.
