This week has been incredibly busy in Year 3 with Wednesday’s Upton’s Got Talent, Thursday’s Transition Day and team-building activities today.

English

We continued writing our animal-themed narratives this week.

Next week we will explore a range of poetry and create our own poems inspired by the rainforest.

Maths

This week we continued our work solidifying the calculation methods we have covered this year.

Next week we will engage in a range of problem-solving activities to revise this year’s learning.

Thematic Curriculum

This week we created a beautiful range of colourful rainforest-themed art pieces.

 Next week is R.E week and we will learn all our last World Religion for this year, Sikhism.

 Homework

- Please read with your child at least 3 times a week.

- Children have now been given their log-in details for Times Table Rock Stars. They should be playing this at least 3 times a week to build their confidence and fluency with times table knowledge.

- Children have been given a ZPD to help them identify the correct books for their reading level. Once your child has read their book, they will need to complete a quiz on it before getting a new one. These quizzes can be done either in school or at home on Accelerated Reader using the log-in codes found in their reading records.
