English:
In English this week we wrote a persuasive letter to the Indian Government about leopards being endangered. It was designed to persuade the government to do more to help protect the leopards from poaching, climate change and retaliatory killings.
We also visited Broadstairs library where a local author told us a story, and we looked at all the wonderful books. Some of us joined up and borrowed books and even signed up for the Summer Reading Challenge. If you are interested, why don't you take a visit during the summer holidays?
Maths:
This week in maths we looked at patterns in number like palindromes and the 9 times tables. We also completed the post-unit quiz.
Thematic Curriculum:
This week during the afternoons we wrote our evaluations for the wind turbines we built last week and recorded our Lonely Planet guides in groups.
Summer Fair:
We rounded the week off with our annual summer fair. The school was packed with family and friends visiting stalls and trying their luck at the raffle and tombola. It was a great afternoon.
