English
In English this week, Year 6 created a setting description of the lighthouse from our text. They focused on using a range of sentence openers and developing cohesion throughout their text.
Next week, we will write and perform a debate, questioning whether the German soldier, whose plane crashed in Budmouth Point, should be saved.
Maths
This week we have started our unit on Statistics and explore both line graphs and pie charts. Next week, we will move on to solving problems using ratio and proportion.
Thematic Curriculum
This week, we have explored life on the Home Front; the children have made paper models of Anderson shelters and explored the role of women during WWII.
