This morning, Upton's Year 4 immersed ourselves in poetry, analysing and reciting the poem 'Names' by Brian Moses. After discussing the emotive environmental theme of the poem, the children worked in small groups to recite a stanza to create a whole-class performance. We were mindful of our audience, speaking with clarity and expression. We also worked on how to convey the message of each stanza using our body-language. This led to an impressive and enjoyable presentation of perfect poetry!
