Our PE day will continue to be on Thursdays this term - Children should come in their PE kits.
On WEDNESDAY afternoon:
Children will be walking down to Viking Bay to look at the coastal features. They need sensible shoes, a hat, suncream and a water bottle.
This week:
Another brilliant week in Year 4.
In maths, we have been consolidating our understanding of time before moving onto statistics. The children have drawn fantastic bar charts and line graphs.
In English, we created a factfile about Syria and wrote a formal letter as a headteacher using ambitious vocabulary.
In the afternoons, we have begun our topic 'Beautiful Broadstairs'. We started this with a Town Trail round Broadstairs to look at local landmarks. We have also learnt about coastal features around Kent and created our own models using plasticine.
Next week
Next week, we will be classifying animals found in our local area. We will also be creating a persuasive piece of writing to encourage people to take home their plastic from the beach.
In English, we will be sketching, tasting and describing pomegranates. We will also be writing a teacher character description.
In Maths, we will be continuing statistics and beginning to look at turns and angles.
Homework this week-
For homework this week, we would like the children to: Research and create a poster for a local landmark (in Thanet).
