Weekly Update 24.6.22
Year 4 have had a jam packed week with lots of exciting things going on.
On MONDAY/ WEDNESDAY afternoon:
Children will be visiting Crampton Tower in the afternoon as part of their topic learning. No extra items will be necessary.
4B and 4G will visit on Monday.
4R and 4Y will visit on Wednesday.
This week:
Another brilliant week in Year 4.
In maths, we have been learning about angles and have mathematician day when we focussed on Archimedes and his learning on spirals.
In English, we continued to read The Boy at the Back of the Class and created descriptive writing using it as a stimulus.
In the afternoons, we continued with our topic 'Beautiful Broadstairs'. We visited Viking Bay and enjoyed looking at the different coastal features (as well as digging some huge holes).
Sports Day
The children made us so proud this afternoon competing in Sports Day. Well done to the Yellows who came 1st!
Next week
Next week, we will be visiting Crampton Tower and learning about the history behind this.
In English, we will continue to read The Boy at the Back of the Class and will be writing a narrative of the journey Ahmet took.
In Maths, we will be learning about different 2D shapes and their properties.
Homework this week-
For homework this week, we would like the children to: research smuggling in Broadstairs this will help with our learning in the coming weeks.
