Today was National Poetry Day, and we celebrated it — in fact some of us were so excited we just couldn't control ourselves -see the picture of one of the member of 5R attached to this blog! We spoke about the importance of poetry and why it is so special concluding that it is indeed a form of art and creative expression. Throughout the morning, we discussed poems, performed poems, wrote our own poems and decorated them. It was such a fabulous day. 

Our poem was More Pointless Questions by John Agard. It questions the treatment of living things. The children then wrote their own in the style of it.
