Year 5 have just started their new topic - China! 

So this week, we would love you to take this opportunity to learn something new about this fascinating country. You can use books and the Internet for your research and can present your research in any way you like. You could write a fact file, create a flyer or poster, or perhaps something more creative. It really is up to you!

In your research, try to learn something which we won't be covering in class this term. Maybe look into the history of some of China's famous dynasties. Who built the Great Wall of China and why? Or perhaps you could investigate some of the animals and the habitats within China. Why is the panda so commonly associated with China? 

Kiddle (link below) is a great, child friendly place to begin your research. But websites such as History for Kids and National Geographic Kids are fantastic resources too.
