This week the children have been working very hard on their writing. Our lessons have centred around the book The Little Ships by Louise Borden. This book had special significance as it is set quite locally in Deal. The book tells the story of The Little Ships who took part in Operation Dynamo during World War II. The children retold the story by imagining they were taking part in the evacuation. They then shared their written pieces with each other.
