Earth is home to lots of wonderful wildlife, but sadly, some species that once called our planet home today no longer exist. These are known as extinct animals. 

The children were asked to create a fact file about an animal that is extinct.

The children included:

• The name of their animal
• A drawing or diagram of what your animal looked like
• The approximate date of extinction
• Height of the animal
• Weight of the animal
• Its diet (what the animal ate)
• Its habitat (where it lived)
• Reason for extinction
• Did you know facts
