This week, 6Y created some amazing and beautiful floral artwork inspired by famous artist Georgia O'Keeffe. In the lesson, we learnt about her life and how she was inspired by the simplicity of nature often focussing on flowers, animal bones, landscapes and the sky. Her artwork is detailed and  intricate and she focuses on bold colours. She most famous for her paintings of flowers - drawing them large as she wanted people to see flowers like she did. 

We discussed how she often painted off centre flowers and created smooth textures with colour. 6Y did an excellent job at using Georgia's technique to create their own master pieces. Please click on the amazing piece below, they are so wonderful and will bring a smile to your face.
