IALT: To learn how music has developed through the 20th century.
Success Criteria
I can name famous musical artists from different eras. I can put different styles of music from the 20th century in chronological order. I can present my understanding in a creative way.
6Y learnt about the evolution of music throughout the 20th centruy. We listened to a range of music and learnt about each era.
We listened to Jazz, big band/swing, Rock 'N' Roll, Soul, Funk, Disco, Indie and Hip hop. We learnt about artists such as: James Brown, Elvis Presley, The Beatles, Bastille, Frank Sinatra and Duke Ellington to name a few. We really enjoyed researching different music and presenting our findings in an interesting way.
