Our weekly update...
Messages:
No Swim Kits or P.E kits needed this Monday (11.7) as we will be picnicking with the new Year 3s in the afternoon.
This week:
In Maths, the children have been continuing their work on measures, with a focus on capacity and temperature.
Miss Watmough, Mrs Watling and Mrs Pellett's groups have been learning about turns and angles.
In English, we have been crafting haiku poems based on our book Charlotte's Web.
On Monday we welcomed the new Year 3s in and had our teddy bears picnic with them.
This Tuesday we had a whole day to celebrate our topic Healthy Humans and had our Fabulous Finish which involved some fantastic potato printing.
We finished the week with Upton's Got Talent on Friday afternoon which was a real hit with the children. A huge well done to our year 3 children who got into the final!
Next week:
We will be moving in to the final week of Term 6 and the final week as Year 3s!
Please remember that children can come in to school on Monday and Tuesday wearing their PE kit if they feel this would be cooler.
On Wednesday we will be walking to St Lawrence o watch the Year 6 production of Oliver. Children will need water bottles, sensible footwear, sun cream and hats.
It is going to be an excellent, fun-filled week. It is also due to be extremely hot at the start of the week, so pleaes ensure you child comes to school with sun cream, a hat and a water bottle!
