Weekly News and Looking Ahead
Welcome back to our final term in Year 4!
We started Term 6 with a focus on Enterprise! The children spent the first day back exploring local and national charities and creating an enterprising pitch to raise money. We finished the week off with RE day with a focus on Sikhism.
English
Starting with non-fiction, we have shared Michael Rosen's 'Who are Refugees and Migrants?' and explore the reasons why people leave their homes. Next week, we will start our focus text, 'The Boy At The Back Of The Class.'
Maths
These two weeks are dominated by our MTC. There have been nerves and excitement but the children are making us so proud with their attitude and effort with this assessment. It is so lovely to see them punching the air after the final question!
Home Learning:
This week, we have learnt all about enterprise. Can you design your own drink and create a pitch to sell it? You will need to design the packaging, think of the ingredients, the price and who you want to buy your bevarage.
Reminders:
Monday is our Stunning Start so we are off on a town trail to spot the local landmarks of Broadstairs. It's looking like it will be a lovely day to get out and about!
