Weekly News and Looking Ahead
This week in Year 4.
This week has flown by! Our highlights have been trips to Dickens House Museum, reading Oliver Twist together in the Dickens House gardens and seeing Year 4 all look very grown up on their successful Transition Day in Year 5.
Next week, we have the fun of Upton's Got Talent and the Summer Fair.
English
Next week we will turn our attention to persuasive writing, composing a speech based on the events of our class text, The Boy at the Back of the Class.
Maths
We will continue our work on shape in maths next week.
Thematic Curriculum
In the afternoons, we will focus on science, learning about and constructing food chains. We will also consider how environments change over time and how this can impact living things.
Home Learning
Choose one of the significant figures with links to Broadstairs we have learnt about this term (Charles Dickens, Thomas Crampton or Joss Snelling) and create your own quiz (with answers).
