Home Learning Task
We are really excited to announce that Viking's speaker competition will be taking place next term. For more information about this please see the letter that was sent home. The homework task this is to write a speech with the title... YOU WOULDN'T BELIEVE IT BUT...
It is not compulsory to enter the competition however, we would like all children to have a go at writing the speech. The title is quite open to give you the freedom to write about what you are passionate about. Be creative!

Weekly Review:
Year 5 have had such an excellent end to term 3! Where do we begin? We enjoyed a wonderful trip to the Royal Harbour academy to use their cooking facilities to make our delicious spring rolls. We travelled to Canterbury Cathedral to learn about the Anglo-Saxons. We enjoyed a costume trail, looking at artefacts and becoming historians for the day. It was wonderful to see the children engaging in discussions about what they had learnt this term. We also re-enacted the Battle of Hastings with our amazing shields that we had made as part of our homework.
Have a wonderful half-term - we are so proud of you!
