Home Learning Task
Option 1: From our work today learning about WW1 and Remembrance Day, research and write a poem based on what Christmas 1914 would have been like in the trenches. Can you include emotive language and include the knowledge you have learnt?
OR
Option 2: Thinking outside the box. Do you have a family member who has been part of the armed services – what was their role? Where did they serve? Do you have a family member who wasn’t part of the armed services but had a role in World War Two building aeroplanes? Have a conversation with them and ask some thoughtful question to support you in writing your own poem based on what it was like.

Weekly Review:
What a fabulous week we have had!
In Maths, we have deepened our understanding of number multiplication and division, and some of the children have started their fractions unit as well.
In English, we have started our new text, Floodland – where global warming has devastated England as we know it now – cause huge flooding and changing how our society acts.
In Topic the children have developed their knowledge of the world, exploring the globe and key features such as the equator and prime meridian. 6B also created their own globe from showing these key features.
