Year 6 have had a super week exploring the circulatory system and the function of the heart. They are also diving into Lion King rehearsals and the children are sounding fantastic! 

Key Reminders:

• Rs and Ys need to wear PE kit on Mondays and Bs and Gs on Tuesdays. 
• Children need to read three times a week and bring a note of this in their reading record/on paper to their teacher. 
• It is very hot now; children should have a water bottle in school, so they can drink plenty of water.

Lion King: children have been provided with letters which inform them of their costumes. The shows will be on the 18th and 19th of July. We will be spending the two days at St Lawrence College. A letter with more details has been sent out regarding this. 

Next week: 

Children will be solving a range of fun Maths investigations and using skills of teamwork and problem-solving.

In English, we will be exploring a new text "Wonder" which centres on the theme of Kindness, Respect and Aspiration. 

We will be exploring human digestion in Science in the afternoons, as well as prop-making in Art! 

On 24th June, the Upton Cross Country is taking place.
