Viking Holiday Club is happy to announce dates for OCTOBER Holiday Club

                   Half-term dates: Monday 26^th – Friday 30^th October

VHC is open to all children attending a Viking Academy Trust school (Chilton, Ramsgate Arts and Upton)

from Reception to Year 6.  If you have a sibling at another primary school that also wants to join the fun – no problem, they can come too! 

In order to open Viking Holiday Club safely at this time, we have had to make slight changes to booking and payments to ensure we follow government guidance for social distancing to keep our children and staff as safe as possible.

Covid-19 Social Distancing Requirements: In order to keep our children and staff healthy & safe and minimise risk of spreading the virus, we must follow government & PHE guidance for schools.

‘Bubbles’: We will keep our VHC children in ‘Holiday Club Bubbles’ of 30 children.  To ensure we keep to our ‘bubbles’, we will have the same children attend across the week. Temperature checks will be taken at the start of the day and regular hand washing will be part of our daily routine. Where weather permits, activities will be outside.

Sibling Discount 10% off when paying full price for first child

If you would like your child to attend Viking Holiday Club you need to do two things:

1.VHC Registration Form:  please click here to complete the online registration form. 

2.Pay the £100 via ‘School Money’: Please click here to login to your ‘School Money’ account to pay the VHC fees. (childcare vouchers are accepted. Please contact the school office for further information)

*The online form needs to be completed and payment made before we will issue confirmation of your child’s place to attend VHC *

Viking Holiday Club FAQ:  

Can I book my child to attend different sessions on different days? No. You must book for the full week.

In order to maintain our weekly bubbles, children must be registered (and payment made) for the whole week.  Parents may choose not to send their child on a particular day or collect before 4pm, but the session must be booked and paid for as the space cannot be given to anybody else in order to maintain the bubble of 30 children.

I have more than one child, will I receive a discount? Yes. 

10% discount will be applied for siblings once full price paid for first child.

I have paid for a full week, does my child have to attend every day during that week?  No. 

You will have paid for the five sessions upfront, however, if you choose to not send them on one day that is up to you.  There will not be refunds for sessions missed.

The sessions are 8:30-4 pm, does my child have to stay for the entire time? No.

We ask that children have arrived by 9:15am at the latest.  You can collect your child at any time across the day but it must be by 4pm.

You will have paid (in advance) for the full session. Early collection will not give you a refund.

Please appreciate the ‘rules and restrictions’ we have introduced for Viking Holiday Club have been made for health and safety reasons.  The restriction on numbers of children attending and the creation of ‘bubbles’ will allow for holiday club to proceed in a way that looks to keep us all safe and well.

Viking staff members Miss Knight (Chilton) and Mr Noble (Upton) lead Holiday Club, with additional staff from

our Viking schools working to support them.

Children will need to come dressed in suitable clothing (including wet weather) for outdoor and indoor

activities. Parents of children involved must include all relevant medical information and dietary requirements when completing the application form and ensure children bring any relevant medical items with them.
