Year 3 Marble Run

The Design and Technology focus for our current topic ‘Feel The Force’ is to design and make a Marble Run.  In order for this to work effectively, we would appreciate your support in helping your child to collect items from home for their junk modelling. Some suggestions of resources that have worked well in the past are outlined below:

• Egg boxes
• Shoe boxes
• Paper-towel tubes
• Pringle tubes
• Water bottles
• Cling film
• Carpet pieces
• Tin foil… in fact, anything which allows your child to make an interesting journey for a marble!

We will be designing and making the marble runs during a special D&T day on Wednesday 3^rd May. Please send your child into school on that day with their resources in a bag with their name and class clearly labelled.

We will then have a Science Fair on Friday 5^th May from 2:30 pm and parents are invited in to see – and try- the marble runs!
