Year 6 Weekly News 13.12.24

This week in Year 6...
English
In English this week, we’ve created a biography of our main character, Gunnar, detailing his eventful life so far. The children have been working hard to use a range of sentence starters in their work.
Next week, we will finish reading our text, Viking Boy, and create non-fiction informative texts about Viking longships.
Maths
In maths, we’ve been tackling multiplying fractions, first by an integer and then by another fraction using a range of visual representations.
Next week, we’ll be applying our fraction knowledge to a range of problems and puzzles.
Thematic Curriculum
This week, the children have worked with a partner to research a range of countries to decided whether they are developed or developing.
Next week, our lessons will have a R.E focus as we explore Hinduism.
Two excellent pieces of homework from this term…
